Urs coordinated the IB Diploma programme for 15 years and, simultaneously, set up and developed the DP Core components of Theory of Knowledge and Extended Essay in his respective schools. He also created and chaired both a professional development network for TOK teachers as well as one for TOK Coordinators within the Singapore/Malaysia/Brunei region.

In 2018, Urs introduced the DP Global Politics course at Swiss International Scientific School Dubai and, as the sole teacher of the course, took the first two student cohorts through the programme, whilst also establishing effective links between the Global Politics course and Theory of Knowledge, as part of the TOK integration across DP subjects process.
