This Seminar will focus on unpacking the language development component of the Career-related Programme. The Seminar is open to all CP educators interested in further developing their understanding and skills
This Seminar will enable you to:
Gain a full understanding of the language development component including key responsibilities and its role in the programme.
Explore delivery options, approaches and strategies for the relevance and authenticity of LD.
Enhance your understanding of assessment and the LD portfolio within your school context.
Explore relevant case studies to deepen understanding.
Discuss and share advice, tools and resources for successful management of the LD and tips on integrating LD into the other components.

3-hour seminar delivered virtually making access easy and convenient.
Led by an experienced IB educator who is part of the IBEN network.
Limited to one registration per IBSCA member school. There are a limited number of spaces available, if sufficient interest is expressed a second date may be opened or additional spaces added.

This seminar will be led by experienced IB educator Sara Woodcock. Sara has been teaching and examining the IBDP since 1997 when she started working at an international school in Madrid. Whilst she has been a DP Music and Spanish teacher and examiner for over twenty years, she has been working specifically with the CP since 2010 when her school was part of the global pilot of the programme. Formally the CP Coordinator, Sara now works as a Lead educator for the IB as a school visitor for both verification and evaluations visits, consultant, curriculum developer, workshop leader and author.
