Workshop Overview:
This workshop is designed to help coordinators implement the programme in a manner that supports the IB mission statement and philosophy, while at the same time developing programme standards and practices. The workshop looks at the role of the coordinator in documentation, organizing professional development opportunities, and managing complex relationships, resource management and communication with a range of stakeholders. All of these responsibilities are integral to the successful implementation of the programme.
The workshop will provide opportunities for reviewing new and existing publications, curriculum mapping, policy writing and reviewing the guidelines for verification and evaluation. You will also become familiar with online systems, such as International Baccalaureate information system (IBIS) and the programme resource centre, which are vital to the role of the coordinator. The workshop will model collaborative leadership strategies and explore ways to effectively manage change.
