In conjunction with the University of Manchester, we look forward to welcoming you to our Higher Education Conference for IB educators. The conference is open to guidance and college counsellors, IB Coordinators, members of senior leadership, and other professionals involved in supporting IB students in their journey to higher education.
Conference Sessions
The conference will explore a wide range of topics related to IB students’ transition to higher education. Sessions are designed to provide insights, encourage discussion, and enhance knowledge, so please bring your questions and experience to share with fellow delegates.

Breakout sessions allowing for exploration of a variety of topics including: international universities, degree apprenticeships, law, engineering, the arts, economics, medicine, and alternatives to medicine
Pre-Conference Event (applications now closed)
IBSCA members are invited to attend our pre-conference event on Thursday the 14th of September at the University of Manchester. This event is open exclusively to higher education counsellors from IBSCA member schools and we extend a particularly warm welcome to those who are new to the to role.
14:00 - 16:00: Welcome & introduction to higher education counselling for IB students
16:00: Tour of the University of Manchester
19:00: Drinks reception
19:30: Dinner with fellow HE counsellors and University of Manchester personnel
The pre-conference event is offered at no additional charge. Spaces are limited and will be allocated on a first-come-first-serve basis. You can indicate that you wish to participate by ticking the pre-conference event box on the application form for the conference.

Prices stated do not include VAT. You will be charged 20% VAT if applicable.

Please note that parking is extremely limited and cannot be guaranteed either on campus or in the nearby area. We recommend utilising public transportation or arriving in good time before the start of the conference to secure a parking space.
